Privacy policy
Last updated September 17, 2026
This policy explains how LockedIn handles information when you use our habit and time tracking service.
Information we collect
- Account information you provide through Clerk, our authentication provider, such as your email address, username, profile image, and sign-in details. LockedIn stores your account identifier, username, and profile image.
- Information you add to LockedIn, including your profile description, pursuits, session times and durations, and follow relationships.
- Your time zone, which can be detected from your browser and changed in Settings, and calculated progress such as activity totals, streaks, and levels.
- Technical information processed when you connect to the service, such as your IP address, browser information, and request logs, by the providers that host and secure the service.
How we use information
We use this information to sign you in, save your pursuits and sessions, calculate progress, display profiles and social features, and operate and protect the service.
What other people can see
Your public profile can be viewed without an account. It displays your username, profile image, description, progress, activity history, and recent completed sessions, including pursuit titles, completion dates, and durations. Social features also show follow relationships.
Avoid putting sensitive or confidential information in your profile or pursuit titles. Public information may be copied by others or indexed by search engines.
Service providers and sharing
LockedIn uses Clerk for authentication and account management and Convex for application data and backend functions. Hosting and infrastructure providers also process information needed to deliver the service. You can read more in the Clerk privacy policy and Convex privacy policy.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to investigate abuse, protect the service, or protect the rights and safety of its users.
Cookies and browser storage
Authentication uses cookies to maintain your sign-in session. Your browser also stores your theme preference. Blocking cookies or clearing browser storage may sign you out or reset preferences.
Retention and your choices
You can edit your profile, change your time zone, and remove sessions through the app. Account controls are available through your account menu.
Removing a session hides it from active session lists and activity calculations, but the underlying record is retained. Earned level progress can remain after a session is removed. Deleting an account marks its LockedIn profile as deleted; it does not automatically erase all related application records.
Providers may also retain logs or backups under their own retention practices. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing.
Security and international processing
We rely on authentication and access controls to protect account data. No online service can guarantee complete security. Our providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. Additional notice will be provided where required by applicable law.
See our terms of service for the rules governing use of LockedIn.
